About me

I am Erin. I live in Madrid, where I am pursuing a life doing the things I love the best.

I am a writer and am learning to illustrate my own books, trying to save money to buy a farm. I teach English to Spanish babies and adults.

In the past 6 years or so, I have made it my life to be as far outside my comfort zone as possible, trying everything from improv comedy to working as a deckhand on sailboats.

I somehow got a ship’s cook job, despite what my dad calls my “Mansonesque style of cooking” and saw my first whale last year in the Mediterranean. It was one of the best days of my entire life.

I got the chance to tour Morocco as a hospital clown with Dr. Patch Adams, an activist whose heart and dedication to the well being of people altered my worldview indescribably. I shared moments with people in hospital beds who the world is afraid of for no reason. I share this because I try to dedicate much of my time to understanding the world and connecting to different cultures, in general, people different from me.

I recently finished the Camino de Santiago, where I fell in love with a lovely Spanish man and here we are.

This is me at the moment. Thanks for stopping by.
