I sailed as a sea cook for SEA, an organisation which trains young students to sail and study environmental impact on our oceans, among other things.
It was my first time ever as a professional cook, and I use that word very loosely and generously. I met the boat in Cork, Ireland, where we provisioned a giant boat for 35 people for a month. Roughly. And rough it was. But we got to sail to France and Spain past the Strait of Gibraltar. I saw Europe for the first time by boat and I saw a whale, two dreams of mine.
